Significance of The Day 29th November
Indian Bengali Muslim Educator and Philanthropist Danbir Haji Muhammad Mohsin

Haji Muhammad Mohsin (3 January 1732 – 29 November 1812) was a prominent Muslim philanthropist, pious, generous and wise man of nineteenth-century Bengal , who earned the title of Danbir for his great qualities of philanthropy . Although he inherited a large amount of property, he was able to earn a large fortune at the time.

In spite of owning this huge property he not only led a very simple and extravagant life, but also made huge sacrifices of his property for proper education, medical care and alleviating the misery and poverty of poor people.
Mohsin's wealth spread the opportunity to acquire traditional and modern education among many people in West Bengal and present-day Bangladesh . Some of the schools, madrasas and colleges established in Hooghly , Dhaka , Chittagong , Khulna and Rajshahi still provide post-graduate level structure in many subjects with his grant money and are considered centers of excellence.
