Significance of The Day 10th December

 Human Rights Day, celebrated annually on December 10, commemorates the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 1948.

The Declaration was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris on 10 December 1948 and sets out, for the first time, fundamental human rights to be universally protected.

The theme for 2023 is "Freedom, Equality and Justice for All".

10 December 2023 marks the 75th anniversary of one of the world's most groundbreaking global pledges: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).

 

The theme for 2021 is "Equality - Reducing inequalities, advancing human rights". The theme for 2022 is "Dignity, Freedom and Justice for All". The theme for 2023 is "Freedom, Equality and Justice for All".
